Casa Palacio Pilar del Toro, a 17th-century mansion, sits in Granada's old town, adjacent to the medieval Moorish neighbourhood of Albaycín. The hotel boasts a charming central courtyard and offers free WiFi. Traditional rooms feature earthenware tiles and dark wood furniture, with air conditioning and private bathrooms. A renowned restaurant serves quality Andalusian food and homemade desserts, near Arabic baths and Alhambra Palace.

The place is in a great spot, just a stone's throw from the Alhambra and the city square. The historic building houses a stunning restaurant and bar downstairs, and the electronic key was a nice touch. There was no reception on site, but reaching the staff via WhatsApp was straightforward. The room was a bit cramped, lacked in-room amenities, and breakfast had to be taken at another hotel; it could also get noisy at times.
