I found the room spacious and spotless, but the key retrieval was a hassle since there was no front desk; the codes weren’t sent in time, causing a bit of trouble until a café waitress stepped in to help. The bathroom felt a bit cramped, making it tricky to get in and out.

The accommodation was super well‑located – right by the Aveiro train station and close to the bus station, making travel and exploring the area (e.g., Coimbra, Costa Nova) extremely convenient; the center is a 5‑minute walk; there are many taverns nearby and great breakfast options, so you can try something new every day; there is a lot to explore; the small room and furnishings were noticeably dated, but everything was clean and tidy; during our stay the drain was clogged, and the housekeeper fixed the issue promptly and politely; the shared kitchen and fridge were useful; it’s perfect for anyone looking for a central, clean base for their trip and willing to overlook the older interior; the room number 11 was functional but offered very little space; it opened onto the courtyard and the stairwell and was visible at night when lights were on; overall it was quiet, but with the lights on you felt like you were sitting on a presentation plate; the people across the hall could see into the room freely, so we had to keep the curtains closed and couldn’t ventilate; for a longer stay, room 11 is only partially suitable due to the limited space; the wardrobe had little room, and there were only five hangers.

I asked for a room with a private bathroom, yet they assigned me an exterior one with a translucent door that let you see the silhouette in both the shower and the toilet; if you’re a few kilos over, you can’t open the door without sticking to the shower. It was cold, the radiator was broken and dirty, and the furniture was rusted. The mattress was too soft, there was no trash bin in the room, and because it was an apartment, another guest had their door open as if they were home and drunk, with spoiled food in the fridge. The stairs to the room looked like construction metalwork, making it hard to carry luggage up. I don’t understand why anyone would give this place a rating; it’s an absolute nightmare.
