Phophonyane Falls Ecolodge quickly wins a place in your heart. Surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful nature, it feels like a small, tranquil world where you can just relax. The location is great, right near Phophonyane Falls, so I’d recommend the short hike to see the falls and the area. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout my stay. The food was good, and my room was comfortable, clean, and functional with everything I needed. I really loved it. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot with a unique vibe, and it’s one of the places from my trip I’ll remember fondly and would gladly return to. The only thing I’d have liked better was brighter lighting inside the room in the evening, as it felt a bit too dim.

This lodge is an absolute gem in paradise! The rooms are simple yet very comfortable and immaculately clean, while the lounge area is stylish and interesting and the grounds/trails are pristine and great to explore. The highlight, though, is the staff—everyone was polite, smiling, and went out of their way to help guests. The kitchen and restaurant team were fantastic and turned a simple menu into something special. It was also a pleasure chatting with the owner, Rod, and hearing his story about the lodge. Nothing at all—perfect!

A flawless weekend escape, surrounded by stunning vistas, lush gardens, and easy walks to the falls and river; the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was excellent, especially with a log fire on chilly evenings.

“We would have loved to stay longer !!”

The location was incredible, right in the middle of a luxurious garden and reserve, and we loved the trails that start at the reception and lead straight to the falls, especially with kids. The views are breathtaking and the surroundings are so quiet. Nothing to add.
