“Great bed & pet friendly location but stairs to room”
The hotel is dog‑friendly, in a prime spot near local hotels and shops, and the downstairs bar makes good cocktails; the king‑size bed is really comfortable, there’s secure parking, 24‑hour reception, and a great games/pool‑table area. However, an extra $100 a night was charged for pets, access cards failed twice, and we had to carry all our bags because the trolley couldn’t be used—there are about 5 steps up to rooms on L1; the pet‑friendly area is on L1 with conferences, so anyone can go to L1 and the car park without an access card. The fridge is tiny, no toilet brush was provided, and parking costs $25 a day for unallocated space in the basement.
