The facilities are solid, the room was comfy and the breakfast lounge was good. Nelson is friendly and helpful, and it's only a 10‑minute drive to Tongos. The place could use more street lamps at night and it's not exactly next to the beach—it's about 8 minutes by car from Guanaqueros, but it's quiet enough to relax.
We stayed only one day, but we had an incident with my partner’s phone that got left behind, and the owner, Nelson, not only honestly called me to ask if it was mine, but also kindly took it to Serena to hand it over to us. Very cordial and kind treatment from the host.
I was in the area for work and this place was what I found nearby, perfect for a night’s rest, clean and comfortable, breakfast was decent. The staff were friendly and attentive. Don’t expect a Hyatt suite for just 30 USD. The location is terrible; following maps forces you through a horrible garbage‑filled path, and when you arrive it looks abandoned, yet everything worked fine. I eventually found another route to the main road, but it’s far from the city center.
