The towels are terrible, they don’t dry anything; the shower only has cold water and the flow is very irregular.

It looks just like the pictures—everything is spotless, great. It’s far from the city centre, but there are still market and restaurant options nearby.

Good value for money! The mattresses are bad, very soft! The shower has no box, so everything gets wet!

We really liked the city – it was a nice place to explore. The chalet was close to the city center, which was great because we had a car; if you’re coming without one it might feel a bit farther. It lived up to our expectations, the pool was a highlight, and it’s perfect for families with kids. The downside? Some streets are unpaved or lack asphalt – a symptom of the corruption in Maranhão that leaves the state beautiful but under‑infrastructure. We got there one day, and it was a decent trip.
