“来たときよりも美しくなれる宿”
The room comes with rooibos tea, coffee, tea drips, snacks, an aroma diffuser, and plenty of skincare products, including a choice of shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. It’s rare to find a ryokan that lets you do laundry. The shared area offers free massage chairs and books, and the staff seem to aim to make guests look more beautiful than when they arrived. After a hike up to Katamichi in the morning, the hot spring was a refreshing way to finish the day. The only downside is that the sound of the waves draws attention to the clock’s hands; a quieter clock would be preferable for a “sea sound” setting.
