The driver the hotel suggested was spot on – got us into the remote town without any hassle. The room, though, was a nightmare: it barely fit the bed, an ancient huge wardrobe took up most of the space, and I woke up with a cockroach on my neck. No one was at the front desk and later I got a call about a $2.50 water charge, which felt like a rip‑off.

They don’t serve breakfast, which was perfect for me because I prefer to eat out on my own schedule. Everything else was fine, so I didn’t miss a thing.

The room was basically a cramped box – the bed was pressed up against the walls and there was no space to move. We ended up leaving that place and checking into the LW Hotel instead.

The owner was friendly and even gave us some handy tips, plus the little dogs at the desk were a nice touch and the Wi‑Fi and TV worked fine. Parking, however, was a mess – you have to know your departure time a day ahead to snag a spot, and breakfast was only served from 6:30 to 7 am, which is ridiculously short.

The inn sits on a quiet street and the place is clean, which was nice. Unfortunately the room was only about 20 m² despite being advertised as 50 m², and the so‑called American breakfast was just a tiny coffee packet, a slice of melon and a frozen supermarket‑style sandwich. On top of that they charge for extra toilet‑paper use, fine you for visitors, have a cramped three‑car parking lot that blocks other cars, and won’t let you check in after 10 pm.
