The locals and a few staff, like Dave, were polite and cheerful, but the room was poor and the shower water pressure was weak.

The air conditioning was very cold.

I was very disappointed that the hotel no longer offers evening or breakfast meals as it did under the previous management; I keep coming back for work about three or four times a year, and after a long day of travel the last thing I want is to be told to go out for food when only take‑aways are available nearby, so I had to leave early in the mornings to find breakfast elsewhere.

For the price I paid, the room was clean and the basic breakfast was fine; the water was hot and the shower worked well, but the building looked rundown in some areas and the corridors smelled of cigarettes, though the rooms themselves did not.

It was a decent overnight stay after a meeting with friends; the room had a standard bed and shower, there was a bar that I didn’t try, and the side car park had plenty of space. The rooms could use an update—perhaps a flatscreen on the wall—and the door locks need fixing because I was woken by someone who couldn’t get into their room.
