The breakfast was excellent. That is probably because the breakfast is not actually prepared by the hotel, but served at the bistro next door. The contrast between the bistro owner and the hotel itself could hardly be greater. Even though they are simply providing breakfast for hotel guests, the bistro clearly does not treat it as an afterthought. The fried eggs were perfectly cooked, and the bacon and sausages were high quality, nicely browned and crisp. The selection was limited, but every item felt carefully prepared and thoughtfully done. So, ironically, the best part of staying at this hotel was the breakfast provided by someone else. This was one of the worst hotels I stayed at during my trip in Central Asia. I honestly don’t know if I’ll encounter anything worse later. I even saw someone say this was the best hotel they stayed at in Kyrgyzstan, which is slightly terrifying. This was the first time I had stayed at a hotel in the city center with no elevator. It’s hard to imagine that a hotel opened in 2025, right in the center of the capital, would still expect guests to carry large suitcases up the stairs themselves. It was also the first time I had booked a room for two people but was given only one set of towels and one bathrobe. The room itself was very small. We could barely open our suitcase in the narrow passageway. The hallway light kept flickering constantly. The lighting design inside the room was also bizarre. The main light could only be switched off from a corner near the entrance, which meant turning it off, walking back to the bed in complete darkness, and trying not to trip over the suitcase in the hallway. The Wi-Fi was poor. YouTube kept buffering, and it only became usable very late at night, presumably after most other guests had gone to sleep. The bathroom drainage was terrible. Even two hours after taking a shower, there was still so much standing water on the floor that it was difficult to step inside. The bed linen was dirty. There was also noise in the middle of the night. No bottled water was provided in the room. Compared with hotels in Tashkent at a similar price point, Bishkek still feels far behind in terms of its ability to accommodate tourists. This hotel in particular lacks many of the basic standards you would expect from a modern hotel

Excellent staff. Great breakfasts at the neighboring café, where you can have wine on the summer veranda in the evening. There are no bedside tables, and the tropical shower head is at nose level.
