The room was spacious, but there were a lot of cobwebs and the toilet didn't allow me to flush toilet paper, which made me pay an extra half of the accommodation once I arrived; the price was extremely high.

“Have to rent towels!”

It was hard to write a review for this place; the location is sublime and the house looks great at first glance, and the evening meal was excellent, but the eco credentials are not prominently displayed on the booking pages and are not very customer‑friendly, which made my stay less enjoyable than it could have been. The rules kick in before you even step inside: there is no electricity, so you can only charge phones; the shower is meant for a quick wash (we were the only guests); you must not flush anything—including toilet paper—down the toilet, instead you have to put it in the bin (which had no bag); breakfast was miserly, offering one slice of bread and one slice of cheese per person, followed by a vague “is that enough? Would you like more?” implying you shouldn't ask; coffee was from Nescafé granules; the evening meal was good but only accompanied by water, with no option to make or have any drinks on the premises, and outside food and drink are banned; additionally, there were no towels, not even a hand towel, and you had to rent them extra.
