The location was convenient. However, the damp and mould on the walls gave off a strong smell, and the curry and shisha scent hit you right on arrival. The bathroom fittings were rusty, and the mattress felt more like a board than a bed. Tea and coffee were available, but when I asked for milk, I was told none was left.

The bathroom was connected. The host was absolutely unbelievable: after we left, he attempted to double‑charge us for a deep clean because he claimed wine bottles and other trash required extra cleaning, citing personal reasons for the added cost. It was shocking to experience that level of “personal” belief in that country, and it made me question whether he should be a host if he can’t respect people’s different beliefs.

Room number 6 and its en‑suite bathroom were very clean. There is a step just inside the street door that almost caused me to trip the first time—I wish the landlord had highlighted it with bright paint like white, yellow, or orange. Initially, I struggled to lock and unlock the street door because it’s quite complicated, but after a few tries I got the hang of it.
