The family‑run hilltop resort sits amid coffee and fruit farms, yet every room surprisingly offers Wi‑Fi. Waking to peacocks in the garden felt like a dream, and the property’s proximity to caves, waterfalls, and a local kalari made exploring a breeze. The family welcomed us like relatives, even joining us on outings. The kitchen, washing machine, rooftop terrace, and a pet cow were all there, so what else could you ask for?

We spent two tranquil nights at Paul’s Retreat, Wayanad, and the place was a serene, spacious oasis surrounded by nature. A large garden, open common areas, a well‑equipped kitchen, and a cozy dining space instantly conveyed calm and comfort. The rooms were neat, clean, and thoughtfully arranged, making our stay very comfortable. The lush coffee estates around added to the charm and freshness. What truly set the experience apart was our host, Benny uncle, who is incredibly kind, humble, and warm. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel at home and, without any pre‑planned itinerary, crafted a perfect three‑day plan that accounted for the Christmas holiday rush. He guided us to beautiful off‑beat spots that were less crowded yet absolutely mesmerizing, and he helped us with food recommendations. As vegetarians, finding good veg options can be tough, but Benny uncle ensured we never had to worry. His local knowledge was priceless—he even suggested which roads to take and which to avoid, since Google Maps sometimes recommends routes that are in poor condition. We genuinely enjoyed our conversations with him; he is a true gentleman, and his hospitality added a personal and heartfelt touch to our entire experience. If you want to escape city traffic, slow down, and live in peace amid nature, I highly recommend Paul’s Retreat. I absolutely loved my stay here and would love to return.
