I had a very frightening experience at this hotel in Hyderabad. A fire reportedly started around 6:30 AM. I woke up only around 8:30 AM and noticed and could feel smoke inside my room. Somehow, I managed to get down from the 5th floor and safely exit the building. Outside, there was already a huge crowd, including the fire force, police and media. What really shocked me was that no hotel staff contacted or alerted me to make sure I had evacuated safely. In an emergency like a fire, the first and most important responsibility of hotel management should be the safety of every guest. They should have a proper system to alert the rooms, assist with evacuation and confirm that no guest is left behind. Luckily, I woke up and noticed the smoke myself. I don’t want to imagine what could have happened if I had continued sleeping. This was a very serious safety concern and something the hotel management must address immediately. Guest safety should always be the highest priority.
