Breakfast was good, the owner’s welcome was warm, and the room was spacious, but the bathroom feels old‑fashioned and the bedding is average.

Mary was the best host I’ve seen in a long time—warm, friendly, and genuine—and I hope we can return, even though we had to head home.

We loved every part of staying with Mary in her beautiful home. The highlight was pulling into her driveway, seeing her wave from the kitchen window, and meeting us as we left the car. Our group was at the airport on the day we left Ireland, comparing notes on our favorite breakfasts, and Mary’s breakfast at the Glencarrig was hands down the best. The location is magical, the rooms are comfortable, and our host was gracious—highly recommend the Glencarrig B&B!

The location is dream‑like with sea views; the Loop Head trail is just around the corner, and the Cliffs of Moher are not far. The room is tastefully decorated, the bed is very comfortable with a warm blanket, and everything is very clean. The breakfast is the best, offering free choice between Irish Breakfast, omelette, or other options. The garden has an outdoor area, and the large common rooms include a billiard table, living room, books, fridge, kettle, etc. The breakfast table is lovely, where you can eat and chat with other friendly guests. The host Mary is a warm and very nice woman, and you can arrange fishing tours there. The Glencarrig B&B is always recommended—thanks, Mary!
