The local food is delicious and surpasses fancy restaurants, the view is beautiful, and the people are warm and genuine. However, you can’t get there by car alone; the hotel has a friendly driver who offers a paid shuttle, but the walk I recommend is much more enjoyable and free.

“Perfect place to stay for hike”

The couple running the guesthouse were very kind and friendly; she gave us breakfast to take with us so we could start the trail early. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It’s in a perfect spot to begin the hike and get a head‑start by walking to the house the day before. The setting is picturesque and the house looks cute.

The spot is beautiful, the staff go the extra mile to help, they arranged a taxi, cooked us lovely local traditional meals, all with smiles, and the bonus was that we were at the start of the Valbona‑to‑Theth hike.

A charming little guesthouse on the Theth to Valbona route, clean facilities and a friendly couple running the place make it a wonderful stay.

“Please note their standard rate is 3,000 Lek per person, per night”

The spot was handy for a quick stop before the Valbone to Theth trek, but the price was off: we were told to pay €55 (just over 5,000 Lek) for two people for one night, yet the staff charged 3,000 Lek per person, 6,000 Lek total. When I pointed out the discrepancy, the clerk got loud and called his manager, who confirmed the 6,000 Lek was correct. We paid in cash anyway, so be careful when booking.
