“Fine for a quick overnight stay.”

The breakfast was decent but didn't match the glossy ad pictures; the room was okay, though we could hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms. The bed was fine, but the bathroom felt a bit worn and the bath panel was loose. We had a small mix‑up about the evening meal—when we rang the bell in the restaurant, staff in the adjacent kitchen ignored us, and later we were told at the bar that the dinner was being served there; we wish that had been clarified sooner.

“Ideal for working away, ideal if your stay is for touring”

The hotel is well positioned on High Street, close to food and drink, and the staff were pleasant. The big double bed was very comfortable and breakfast was good. Nothing else to add.

The location is lovely, the staff are friendly, and it was perfect for our dog. The only downside was the wallpaper in the shower, which was not in the best condition.
