The staff were the best I’ve ever encountered, 10 out of 10, the hotel breakfast was fantastic and had everything I could wish for; we also ate dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and it was amazing with service that was superb! We brought our dog, who was also welcome at breakfast and dinner (on the upper floor), and it was great that he could join us when we ate. The rooms were well sound‑insulated, so when heavy metal bands played that weekend we heard nothing in our room. The only downside was the view (we got the courtyard view) which was a bit dull; from a dog owner’s perspective, with a picky dog that loves having a larger grassy area with bushes and trees, there wasn’t much to walk the dog on, or we didn’t have time to explore much during our stay.

The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants right around the corner and just a few minutes’ walk to the lake or the pedestrian zone. The staff were friendly, check‑in and check‑out were quick, and the room came with free bottled water. Rooms are fairly spacious and the breakfast buffet offers a good variety. The hotel, however, looks visibly aged: luggage marks and holes in the walls, broken tiles, stained silicone seams, yellowed curtains, a non‑functional safe, a broken desk lamp, and a faucet that drips poorly. The corridors and stairwell match that worn appearance. The breakfast includes bland, pre‑packaged scrambled eggs that taste like nothing.
