Located a ten‑minute walk from Vipiteno’s Torre dei Dodici, the family‑run Hotel Sterzinger Moos offers 24 alpine‑style rooms with free Wi‑Fi, modern wood furnishings, flat‑screen TVs and en‑suite showers or bathtubs. Guests enjoy a garden‑view restaurant serving South Tyrolean buffet breakfasts, a wellness centre with solarium, sauna, Turkish bath, and a playground‑bordered garden overlooking the Wipptal valley. Small pets stay free.

Clean and practical. Breakfast was very Spartan, and the staff seemed unmotivated.

The location was great for evening outings even though Vipiteno was deserted, the menu was good and varied, the breakfast a bit lacking but still acceptable; the bedroom was comfortable and roomy, but maintenance was lacking with a broken light fixture that wasn’t fixed, there was space for a desk and chair, the bathroom lacked a towel rack for the sink and bidet though it was spacious, the lounge was roomy and well equipped; I’ll consider this hotel for future weekend stays.

Ten minutes to the center, tidy and a good breakfast buffet, parking right outside the door; the reception ladies weren’t very friendly, a pity because everything else was fine.
