“Ok für eine Nacht, nicht länger”
The hotel sits on the main street where the Mercure is, so Grab and Bolt are easy to find; since I was already staying two streets over at Simply Stay, I knew where the scooter rental on the side street was. The host also rents through other channels but at double the price, which is understandable. There was a balcony, but it was never used and smoking is not allowed (I’m a non‑smoker). A work desk and a working fridge were available. The room was much smaller than others, the bathroom was tiny, the bed was less comfortable, shower water pressure was low, and there were no small towels for face or hands, nor a glass for toothbrush or drinks. No water was provided in the room, and soap was missing for hand washing. Body lotion or shampoo were also absent. The owner seems strict and pays close attention to everything: guests must bring their own items, follow rules, park bikes in designated spots, lock the main entrance, leave shoes downstairs, and walk up the stairs without shoes. This keeps the stairwell and rooms clean, which is a plus. However, the price‑performance compared to Simply Stay is very low, so I would recommend this place less. The AC key is permanently attached to the lock; you cannot detach it to keep the room cool while you’re away, which is annoying when the heat comes in. As a host I would at least give a bottle of water or put one on the room upon arrival (a must‑have for tourists) and provide soap or shower gel and a small towel in addition to the large one.
