The host took excellent care of us, the location is superbly central, the garden is beautiful, and the breakfast is thoughtfully prepared. Parking is possible, though you might need a bit of luck to find a spot right in front of the building. Arona itself is a lovely town – also great as a stopover on longer trips. The central piazza and a wide variety of restaurants are just a few steps away.

A lovely place to stay in Arona, quiet but in the centre, with a very friendly host and a nice breakfast. The only drawback, which is more a result of the record‑hot summer we had, is the lack of air conditioning. But for most days of the year it wouldn’t be needed.

Elena is a warm and very helpful host. The breakfast was abundant and of excellent quality. The rooms are bright and tastefully decorated. The lovely kitchen is well equipped. There are several seating areas in the apartment and outdoors. The lake view in the second row keeps street noise away, but you can still hear pleasant live music from the lakeside. Those who are not averse to climbing stairs to the accommodation are rewarded by the sight of the old city tower. We felt very comfortable and would stay there again anytime.

Delicious and plentiful breakfast and a wonderful communicative host, but the real highlight is the apartment itself, which is wonderful. The view from the window is great, and with all the doors and windows open, the breeze that comes through is therapeutic. Arriving by train is a five‑minute walk and the location is right across from the ferry dock. We stayed two nights and bought an all‑day ferry ticket. Arona exceeded our expectations – great restaurants, scenic and lively walk along the lake, and an active shopping street. We chose Arona for easy access to Malpensa, but it’s a destination in its own right. Nothing to complain about.

It was very large, clean, and had a nice view with a very good breakfast. The downside is many stairs, but that can be managed.
