When we stepped into room 228, a strong chlorine smell stung our eyes and throat, so we opened the window immediately. We flushed the sink, toilet, and shower; it turned out the shower drain was broken and they had poured extra chlorine into it, probably to mask bad odors. The next day we reported this to reception, were thanked for the tip, and the staff said the issue was already known— we were stunned. Why rent such a room, especially at a high price? Also, the light fixture above the shower was faulty; it flickered, creating a strobe effect whenever the bathroom light was turned on, which was very annoying and irritating.
