We stayed in this room for one night. We came to Dambulla to visit the cave temple, which we walked to. The owners were very hospitable and treated us to a welcome tea upon arrival. In the evening the host cooked rice with curry – a traditional dish for the Lankans – and even tried to match our spiciness preferences. The portions were huge. Sitting in the garden at night and listening to nature sounds was pure pleasure. There were no negatives.
