The room is roomy and the facilities are complete, but the hotel’s position itself isn’t great. Because it sits on a hill, getting to the hotel without a car is inconvenient.

The breakfast was great.

The hotel sits on a mountain and the view is amazing; breakfast is excellent and very varied, and the onsens are beautiful, but note that you can’t enter with tattoos. The hotel is old.

The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed a good view of Mt. Fuji from our room. I couldn’t use the spa or pool because of my tattoos, and it’s far from restaurants and shops, with no laundromat—so it feels off‑grid. From an accommodation standpoint, the rooms are nice and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The location is decent. The property feels outdated, isn’t kid‑friendly, and the food is basic with only a few better dishes on the buffet. The onsen’s cleaning schedule during the day was extensive, and the onsen itself was smaller than it appeared in the listing. The beds were hard, and overall it felt too expensive.
