The room was unusually spacious for Japanese standards, with large comfortable beds and pretty furnishings. The hotel has only a few rooms and is located on a quiet side street. Both the train station and Kyoto’s city center are a 10‑15 minute walk away, and there are plenty of bus stops nearby for day trips. Shoes are already returned at the front desk, so everything stays very clean. Free water, coffee, and tea were available at any time at the front desk. The staff were very friendly, though they spoke only a little English. We were completely satisfied.

“An offering beyond expectations”

I chose this place because it’s near a shrine and a park, and when I walked in I was wowed by my room. The décor was thoughtfully put together, full of beautiful Japanese touches, and the space was generous and spotless, even boasting its own little garden – it blew me out of the water. On the downside, it’s a bit far from Kyoto station, but the quiet spot beside the leafy park more than makes up for that. The streets around the hotel are mostly local, so I got to see the neighborhood vibe I wouldn’t have caught near a train hub, and it was a real treat watching the elementary kids heading to school in the morning.

“Tolles Hotel für Paare und kleine Familien.”

The room was a big, lovely Japanese‑style space that looked exactly like the photos on the portal, clean and in great condition. Because the hotel only has a few rooms, it’s usually very quiet and feels pretty exclusive. The only coffee I could get was in the lobby, but the capsule machine there was excellent. Getting to the bus stops or the station requires a bit of walking.

“東本願寺から近い、おしゃれで開放的なお部屋”

Because it was off‑season, I got to stay at a wonderful hotel for a great price. The building is no‑shoes‑allowed, which keeps it clean, and the room was spacious, stylish, and open‑air. The bath is a big plus. The structure seems to let sound echo, so I could hear other rooms and noises. Still, if you ignore that, it’s a perfect stay.
