The location was convenient for a motorway stop on a long trip, and we ate supper there—nothing spectacular, but each of us found something that suited us. The breakfast, however, felt odd; it was a self‑service continental spread left for us to help ourselves.

The room was clean and spacious, containing everything you need in one area. A larger TV or one in the bedroom, plus a bigger shower head, would have improved the stay.

The spot just off the motorway was perfect for breaking the drive from home into Scotland; we stayed only one night for that purpose. The small on‑site restaurant served good food, sparing us the trouble of finding an evening meal elsewhere. As expected, there was some traffic noise.
