“Perfect back to basics solo retreat”

I came for a solo escape and it hit the mark—compact but well‑equipped for a cozy stay. The breakfasts were the real star: Bernie wrapped them in Kilner jars, kept them warm in a thermal bag inside a wicker picnic basket—so charming and generous! The lodge is right on a doorstep walk, with Ledbury and Great Malvern just a short drive away. Chickens and guinea fowl roam near the lodge, and at night you can hear owls, which is really soothing. There’s a portable chemical toilet; I’m used to it from camping, but if you’re not, just text Bernie and she’ll explain everything. I was left alone and undisturbed, exactly what I wanted, and I’d book again for a breather when life gets hectic.

“A superb place to relax and unwind”

This place was the ideal spot for a bit of R & R—the accommodation was fantastic, and I can’t believe how many home comforts fit into such a small space. The breakfast was excellent, especially with the delivery in a hamper—a lovely touch. The optional evening meals were also great. I’ll definitely be back!

“Perfectly relaxing while working on a music festival nearby - hopefully it’ll be sooner than 2 years before I’m back”

I stayed a couple of years ago and was excited to return—everything was as fantastic as I remembered. Nothing comes to mind that could be improved, from the animals to the beautiful cosy room. It’s exactly my kind of place.

“Just what i needed, a place to stay and relax to myself”

This was my fourth visit to Hedgehog Lodge. It keeps getting better while still keeping the charm that makes it special. The hosts were available whenever I needed them, and the food hampers are delicious. I’ll definitely come back for a fifth visit.
