The view, location and pool were great.
“Comfortable, easy drive into Charleston and lots of food options. Nice marsh and creek views!”
The staff were friendly and full of useful tips, the room was comfy and larger than expected, and the marsh and Shem Creek views were relaxing; the boardwalk was a pleasant surprise. This was our first visit to Shem Creek (we usually stay in downtown Charleston) before dropping our son off at The Citadel, and we’d definitely come back.

We’re from Charleston and just wanted a staycation. We love Shem Creek but had never stayed there before. The location is perfect and the views are amazing—make sure you get a marsh‑side water view. The staff were amazing and greeted us with smiles. Great stay! Unfortunately, there’s no restaurant on site, but there are plenty within walking distance. The grab‑and‑go breakfast was a nice surprise.

The place is in a great spot, but the rooms could use an update; the manager assured us it’s planned for next year.

Everything was close by. We had a balcony room overlooking Shem Creek, which was fantastic. The beds were comfy, and even though I left my pillow at home, the pillows provided were just as good. The AC was cold, and the grab‑and‑go breakfast worked out great. The staff answered all our questions and needs attentively. I met the General Manager, Gray, and he felt like an old friend. The boardwalk beside the marsh was peaceful and relaxing. I can’t wait to return. Nothing else to add.
