The place is gorgeous in nature, has a parking lot right in front, and the service is very friendly and proactive (I especially liked that!), the restaurant, beer garden, and bar offer high quality food and drinks with guest‑friendly hours. The new pool/sauna with a large deck is very nice.

Breakfast was varied, healthy, and always restocked. The rooms and beds were very cozy, and the large bathtub was outstanding. The house is very quiet and surrounded by nature. The pool with the sauna was exceptionally clean and the water was warm. The value for money at dinner was great, and I haven’t had such good food outside in a long time.

The reception is fine, but there’s not enough staff when checking out. My partner loves the Cointreau available at the bar; in the restaurant it was a strange story that they couldn’t get it from the bar, yet the bartender managed to fetch coffee from the restaurant. I’ve known this hotel for 48 years and it used to be top of the line; nowadays, with Best Western, it still falls far short of that level.

The whole entourage was fine; nothing to complain about.

The breakfast buffet is good, but the surroundings smelled pretty bad, probably because of the nearby sugar factory.
