“Great virgin jungle stay”
A jungle hut with solid facilities and a refreshing cold bath, plus a friendly host who served breakfast and a lovable dog that guarded us. Getting in by car was a bit of a hassle, but manageable.

A charming forest cabana featuring a plunge pool up front, but the bed lacked a top sheet or quilt, and there were no instructions for hot water; the shower switch was outside the bathroom, the water flow was sluggish, and drainage was poor. We had to trek 300 metres down a steep trail just to reach the accommodation.

A truly unique nature experience that made us feel far away from everything, yet still within reach of Wolt deliveries.

We stayed in this accommodation during our trip in Sri Lanka and had a mixed but memorable experience. The biggest highlight is definitely the location — it is truly away from the crowds and offers a real jungle experience. The cabana is very cute and the pool area is lovely, making it a peaceful place to relax in nature. Do keep in mind that being in the jungle also means many animals in and around your cabana, which comes with quite a bit of noise at night. Completely understandable for the setting, but something you need to be comfortable with. Breakfast was good and freshly prepared. Overall, a charming stay for travelers looking for a quiet jungle escape, as long as you don’t expect hotel-level facilities and are happy to trade some comfort for a unique, off-the-beaten-path experience. There were a few practical issues during our stay. Our room was not serviced, there was not enough toilet paper, the shower was cold, and hand towels and a bath mat were missing. There is also no food or drinks available on-site and no drinking water provided in the room. That said, the manager is very kind and willing to help — he happily arranged tuk-tuk rides (about 20 minutes to the center) and even offered to pick up items by motorbike when needed

We had a minor mosquito problem with insects crawling into the bathroom, covering the floor in black, and the bathroom was white, which made us hesitant to use the toilet; the staff offered to open another bathroom from a different cabin for us.
