Located next to Wädenswil Train Station, a 30-minute train ride from Zurich, Hotel Engel am Bahnhof features free WiFi, a restaurant overlooking Lake Zurich serving Swiss and Italian cuisine, and rooms with mountain views, flat-screen satellite TVs, and bathrooms with hairdryers. Zurich's city centre is 20 minutes by car, and Zurich Airport is a 30-minute drive away.

This is a very lovely small hotel that feels like home. The in‑house restaurant is superb, and there is also a great bar downstairs for a drink. I really enjoyed the little break. The location is on the railway line, but you get a lake view, and at night you can sleep with earplugs even with the window open.

The reception was very friendly and accommodating. The night was noisy because you cannot sleep with the window open; the trains are too loud. My room was on the 3rd floor and there was no lift. These details should be mentioned in the hotel descriptions. I also find it too expensive.

The view of the lake from both the room and the restaurant is magnificent, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The location is great, right by the train station with a view of the lake. The breakfast could be better; many items are packaged. The train is naturally very loud because of the location.
