“A good guesthouse in a quiet location within walking distance of Cobh”

My bedroom was a good size, and the en suite bathroom was well-appointed with a decent shower. Breakfast was good. I wondered how easy it would be to find the place, though fortunately there was a large sign by the side of the road. Increasingly bedrooms are equipped with USB slots enabling guests to charge their phones and other devices, though I was unable to locate one

The location was great, and the staff were excellent and very helpful, but the room was very small.

Breakfast was great, and the breakfast room had big windows that offered a view and delightful morning sunshine; we could walk to town for dinners, with sidewalks and light traffic in October, and we enjoyed a good view of the water from our room, yet walking to town took about 25‑30 minutes depending on the destination, and the mattress was old and lumpy, which bothered my husband more than me—he thought he was going to roll out of the bed, something I did not feel.

Rooms are too small; no one can open their trolley bag in the room, and there is only one charging point in the entire room, which is depressing and gives off negative vibes—definitely not recommended at all.

“The fire was lit for our return. We sat in the lounge having a quiet drink before retiring to bed. Wonderful property”

Breakfast was excellent, the staff and owner were fantastic, and the view was amazing; nothing negative.
