“Basic needs met”
Plenty of Parking,. Breakfast was slow.Left to customer to point out items need replenishing. waited to long .Fresh Fruit selection poor
“OK”
Rooms were a good size and beds were comfy. Difficult to find staff to buy drinks or find out information. Tea and coffee, booked for the function room, had to be chased and the bar was closed early without any notification to our group
“Ideal for a wander into town or just a stopover.”
The bed was super comfy and the breakfast offered a good variety of tasty items. The manager was very helpful after the front desk assigned us an upstairs room, even though my wife was clearly using a mobility scooter. The room was well equipped, had a proper opening window, and a second door that opened straight onto the car park, giving plenty of space. On the downside, the breakfast could have been a touch hotter, and the description said the entire unit was on the ground floor, which is true for some rooms but should note there’s no lift, which caused confusion about our room.
“A visit to Sussex”
I thought all the staff were friendly and considerate. The room was good. Restaurant and breakfast was good. An added bonus was we were allowed to change our clothes in a room after we had checked out before going to Glyndebourne and were not charged extra parking. Altogether a good experience. Nothing
“Not Great”
I was in town the next day, so the location was handy, and the breakfast was decent. However, the bed cover was stained, the pillow case had blood on it, and the shower door was disgusting. The bartender seemed inexperienced; when I asked about the wine he said I was asking the wrong person.
