“Excellent”
Better than expected! Easy location and very close to a well-known beach. Nothing special.
“All and all - a great experience being based in a rural community. Loved meeting the people there.”
Bayay ni Nanay Bed & Breakfast at Magpupungko Beach is a rural homestay next to a popular day‑trip spot on Siargao Island, letting us feel the beach buzz while chatting quietly with locals. We stayed four nights, touring Siargao’s beaches, caves, villages and river swimming holes, and loved the family vibe and breakfast chats. The price felt high for this type of place; there was no Wi‑Fi, no hot water, and it was a bit buggy, so we expected a lower rate compared to other stays.
The only place where doors and windows seal properly, letting you sleep mosquito‑free and cool with your air conditioning, is this property.
“Great staff location is not good”
The staff were excellent. The location is a bit inconvenient.
“La ubicacion no era cómoda”
The staff woman who ran the house was friendly and attentive, but the location is a problem—there’s nothing nearby and it’s a one‑hour motorcycle ride to General Luna where all the action is. The room stayed dirty for all three days and was infested with bugs.
