The staff were genuinely pleasant and welcoming; however, the shower had almost no pressure after a short burst, the room was only just the basic size you’d expect from a hotel, cobwebs were visible higher up, and the shower itself was tiny – not worth the price for me. Breakfast was fine except for a runny egg white, but the staff’s kindness kept the stay from being a 5.

The staff were very friendly and efficient, the cooked breakfast was excellent, and the location was convenient for the Cooling Castle Barn wedding; no issues.

The hotel’s location made it a great choice for a wedding at Cooling Castle Barn, and the free shuttle to and from the venue was a big plus. The room was very clean and comfortable, though a bit hot, but a fan helped keep it cool. The full English breakfast was very good and the staff were very welcoming.

The place offered excellent value, with staff that were very good, especially Hayley who cooked breakfast. I couldn’t fault the place.
