I liked the location and the attention to detail, but because it’s in a pedestrian zone there's no parking; you can only use it for loading and unloading, though the parking is still very close.

I suggest warming up the accommodation a bit before guests arrive.

The location next to the castle was courteous, but the breakfast was missing a bidet.

I stayed with the people from the Highlands in Apice and overall the experience was positive. The property is welcoming, clean, and well‑maintained, the owners are friendly and helpful, and the spot is excellent—just a stone’s throw from the castle, which made it super convenient for a Valentine’s event there. On the downside, the rooms feel a bit closed in, with small windows and limited views, and there are no balconies. Heating runs on two split units and a small electric heater, which can create temperature differences between zones and a slight electrical overload if everything is on at once. Breakfast is simple, with packaged croissants and toast; having tea would have been nice. All in all, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for peace and a family‑like atmosphere.
