We had a very pleasant stay; Miguel welcomed us warmly and told us about his guesthouse and Setúbal. The room was comfortable, centrally located, and easy to reach by public transport. Special thanks for the thoughtful extras—coffee, homemade cookies, and two small bottles of Moscatel—and for being reachable on WhatsApp and recommending several restaurants.

It would be great to have a common area with a fridge and kitchenware for breakfast. There’s no elevator, but the building is old with wide stairs.

We needed what we wanted and it was quite good, but there was no air conditioning and we swam in a lot of heat, even though we had a toy fan; we could have opened the balcony, yet our room was on the first floor and the balcony faced the street, so anyone could have entered, which made us feel very insecure. Another point worth mentioning is the bathroom: although it wasn't bad, it was outside the room, and it was very uncomfortable to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and there was no television in the room we were assigned. The first photo shows the bathroom door and the others the balcony.

The property was central, comfortable, had a lot of character and the owner was very friendly and helpful. The biscuits and moscatel wine were delicious too :)
