The décor of the restaurant and the room is very nice and refined, the staff are friendly and efficient, and the restaurant is very good, even excellent! It’s in the heart of the Solutré village, at the foot of the Roche in the vineyards, very well situated. Nothing to complain about.

Great location in the heart of the Pouilly vineyards with Solutré itself right there - although no other amenities in this village. We returned because our first experience in the restaurant was outstanding. This time it was good , but certainly not as good as the first visit. Higher prices, reduced size meals. The room is not large but adequate and expected for this type of property. It has a kettle and fridge which were very welcome. Generous sized bed and shower. Please please fix the toilet seat in the room we stayed in - first floor, first room on the right. It slips every time you sit on it - and it did when we stayed in March too. Ridiculously irritating. Should have been sorted by now. Cleaning isn’t top notch. Okay but not top. Top of the fridge was quite dirty, mirror on wardrobe really unclear, wooden floor questionable

For a French breakfast, it works fine; the diner is truly excellent, so we love stopping here on our way to Provence. The Wi‑Fi on the upper floor is very weak.

The food is varied and tasty, and the selection of quality wines is great, but the owner’s mood and his rude remarks put a damper on the experience, and the breakfast is very basic.
