The view was fantastic, the garden was lovely with access to the lake, and the building is historic, yet the carpet in the room was a downside.

The dinner was excellently cooked and the plates were beautifully presented; the breakfast was small but fine, featuring fresh fruit salad with local ingredients. The host family was very friendly and attentive, the location is perfect with direct lake access, and the bus stop is right nearby, but the house is very old with a lot of charm, and the toilet and shower are partially calcified.

The location is nice, close to the shores of Lake Walensee, and the old building has wooden stairs, ceilings, and fittings, with nothing in particular to note otherwise.

A lake‑front spot that feels historic and calm, with staff who are genuinely friendly and views that are simply amazing – nothing to complain about.

Checking in was a breeze and the lake views were breathtaking.
