The location was great, and the view from the terrace covered all the shortcomings – sea, palm trees, birds singing… Now about the room and the owner: a taxi took us to the wrong hotel, we called, and the owner came right away. He ferried us on his bike, lifted our luggage, and did the same when we checked out. The linens and towels were changed daily, and everything we needed was labeled and delivered immediately. It wasn’t a fancy stay, but the price was a bargain. Go, you won’t regret it. After all, Goa isn’t about staying in a room; it’s for sleeping and doing personal hygiene, all of which are available. The only downside was that on the first day, the high stairs were oddly difficult to climb up and down.

The balcony offered a beautiful view of a small cove that was also perfect for swimming. The location was great, just a 10‑minute walk to the main beach, yet it remained very quiet. The room had everything you needed. Nothing else to note.

We were far from the bustle, staying in the 2nd Guesthouse at the top, with a nice view. The basic amenities were fine, and the staff were friendly; they helped with luggage transport through Bazar Street and arranging a taxi. The bed linen and towels felt a bit damp, not very trustworthy, so I was glad to have my own silk youth hostel sleeping bag. The room was quite small, and a hook on the wall and a small table on the veranda would have been nice.

The hotel sits on a picturesque mountain spot and the staff are welcoming, with the soothing sounds of the sea nearby. Just be careful with the switches in the room; they can sometimes cut power to the entire building.
