“Perfect location for a stay in Seoul”
Fantastic location. Right next to a grocery store with more items than the nearby convenience stores. Far enough away from main roads to be nice and quiet. Quick walk to Seoul Tower, the Myeong‑dong shopping lanes & public transport. The room was a decent size and had a mini fridge and washing machine inside. We stayed on the first floor, which did not have a strong bleach smell like the staircase to upper floors did. We were a bit confused getting to our room on the first night. Turns out first‑floor rooms have a separate entrance door to the right of the main door after going up the stairs. Not a big issue, but had us confused at 11 pm after a long flight. The bed only had two pillows, and they were rather soft. The room above ours must have had their bathroom in the same corner that our bed was, because we could hear them taking steps in their shower water very clearly while trying to sleep, and their drain pipe sounds like it ran down past our heads so we knew every time they were in the bathroom running water. Despite signs, other visitors don’t stay quiet during late hours of the night, but that is not the property owner’s fault. I do have concerns about the room entry codes. Far as we know, no one entered our room, but after learning what our room code was, we’re confident we could have guessed everyone else’s. There is no physical locks to prevent entry to your room.
“This was a perfect spot for our one-night layover.”
The room was impeccably clean and the spot was close to restaurants and the subway. As with all places we stayed at, air conditioning wasn’t an option; most venues only turn it on when it gets hot. With two post‑menopausal women dealing with hot flashes, we had to keep the windows open for any airflow, which made the place feel stuffy. Street noise then became an issue, but when the windows were shut the room was completely quiet. A fan would have made a difference.
“Great location, basic cooking facilities and excellent value for the price.”
The spot is in a good area, within walking distance of the station and plenty of other spots. Having a cooktop and fridge is handy. The bed is just a double and the linens look a little worn. A few extra water glasses, some more cooking utensils, and an additional pan would have been useful.
“Bien”
The place is brand‑new (or recently renovated) and spotless, with a washing machine and everything matches the price. The accommodation is hard to locate because it’s not on a main street and the entrance from the central train station isn’t convenient. There’s no rooftop and the view is just a dirty alley. The space is tiny but suitable for a solo traveler. The kitchen is basic, featuring a very small table for one person and a stool, but no chair to set belongings. The bedding is average, and there’s no switch near the bed; you have to get up to turn off the light, though a flashlight is provided.
Check‑in was smooth and the location is excellent.
