During our trip to Austria we decided to stop for two nights in Negrar and chose Dormire alla Ruota. What was meant to be a simple intermediate stop turned into one of the most beautiful surprises of our journey. We discovered a quiet corner in the heart of Valpolicella that conveyed serenity and genuine hospitality from the first moment. What truly makes this place special are the people who run it. We were literally pampered, surrounded by attentions, kindness, and a generosity that goes far beyond mere professionalism. It’s clear how much the owners care about their guests and the passion they put into their work. Those small, spontaneous gestures, never intrusive, turn a stay into a lovely memory. The homemade breakfast deserves a special mention – it’s simply outstanding. It’s one of those breakfasts that isn’t just a meal but becomes part of the experience. The care in preparation, authenticity, and attention to detail speak volumes about the passion and dedication of the people behind this little gem. Frequent travelers have taught us that the most memorable places aren’t always the largest or most luxurious; sometimes it’s these small places where hospitality remains deeply human that truly win you over. Dormire alla Ruota is one of those discoveries that makes you want to return even before you leave. Valpolicella, with its fascinating landscape, completed the experience, giving us a stop we wished we could extend. We’ve already added this place to our list of favorite destinations and it will surely be a reference point for future trips.
