I could see the owners were making an effort, but the cleaning staff never showed up for work. The place was not clean.

The spot was spot on, and the young man who handled our check‑out this morning was really friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, the non‑smoking room had a strong cigarette smell that lingered in the bedding and pillowcases, probably because the adjacent room was a smoking one and the odor seeped through the walls.

The location is fine, but the room and bathroom were unclean, the ceiling was damaged, outlets and light fixtures were pulled off or out of the wall, management assigned us a room that was unsafe, and the night clerk at check‑in may have had race issues.

I was shocked to find a large hole in the floor; I cut my foot on it during the night. The next morning I asked for a bandage or cream for the big cut, but there was nothing available. I took a “shower” that night and the water was scorching hot with no cold option; my skin burned for an hour after I stepped out. The bathroom had corn kernels in the sink, rubber bands everywhere on the floor, and old cigarette butts scattered around.
