Hotel El Águila

I was impressed that the hotel had just been renovated and that it sits close to Zaragoza, but the panel walls let everything in, so when they cleaned early you could hear the knocks; the walls felt like paper. A tiny fridge in the room and a few more pieces of furniture would have helped for aesthetics or to store more stuff, though it’s not a big deal.

The evening staff were great, but the morning team could be kinder. The night reception staff handed us a French menu, which was excellent.

I liked how clean the hotel was and the overall service was good, and the restaurant food offered decent value, though the cheese board could be better. What I didn’t like was that the breakfast felt a bit pricey, was sparse, had little variety, and the milk was almost watery.

“Bien, con algunos peros...”

The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly, but the price for a three‑star stay was excessive, especially during the Puente del Pilar. The breakfast’s nice view was ruined by a broken coffee machine; the staff quickly supplied an alternative solution. The location works well for someone working or doing business in Utebo, but is poor for visitors wanting to see Zaragoza.

The breakfast was good, but the hotel sits on an industrial estate and there’s nowhere to eat within walking distance.
