The hotel was closed down, maybe for renovations, when we arrived. We were supposed to pay at the hotel so not a money scam but still, it should not be available for bookings when closed down

Nothing. I turned up and the hotel was CLOSED! When trying to get a refund I got a message saying I had checked out 😡

Every surface at Townhouse Oak Medan near Universitas Sumatera Utara, formerly Raz Residence, had accessible outlets so I could charge my laptop, phone, and tablet all at once. The USB ports by the nightstand were very convenient, and I never had to search for adapters or struggle with limited power access.
