“Nice facilities and comfortable beds”
Comfortable beds and clean facilities, but the social life wasn’t that great because the hostel was quite large, making it harder to meet and connect with people.

The location and tranquility were great, but the breakfast was lacking.

Honestly, it was much better than we expected. We booked a private room and it was well worth it; the value for money is great. The room is huge, the bathroom is excellent, and the cleaning is impeccable. The hostel itself is a cutie, an old school that’s been well preserved. The location is a bonus, practically inside Vondelpark, making it lovely to walk to the hostel. It’s also close to more tourist spots like Leidseplein and Museumplein, so you can do a lot on foot. We loved it and would definitely stay at Stayokay again.

The place was very clean, the staff helpful, and it looked beautiful, but the photos misrepresented it as being on a quiet street when it’s actually tucked down an alley. I found myself surrounded by a group of school kids who were relentlessly loud and obnoxious, leaving me with zero sleep over five nights.

I booked last minute and the front desk welcomed me warmly, answering every question. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and the one I stayed in was bright and cozy, giving me a safe and restful environment as a solo female traveler. Each morning I enjoyed breakfast that was worth every penny. The only drawback was that the storage boxes under the beds lack locks, so you either bring your own or buy one at the desk, which I did; it was a minor inconvenience that didn’t affect my stay.
