“True B&B. Great location! Great staff! Public transport reasonable. Parking not so much!”
Honestly, this place was awesome. It is a true Bed and Breakfast! And not "breakfast" like with premade stuff you grab or scoop out of a tray. I mean a sit down, have breakfast "what would you like to eat, we're cooking for you" breakfast! Cozy with a good location. My bed was two twins pushed together, but I don't remember any discomfort (it has been several months since my stay). And I don't do much in the room anyway other than sleep and shower. I had a car but I barely used it (mainly because on my first day I got a flat tire which ruined my day), plus, see my complaints about parking (not the property's fault at all!). Honestly, you don't need one, But not only is there a stop right on the main street, but if you don't mind walking about 10 minutes you're at a bus station. Public transport isn't quite as abundant as the mainland but was much reasonable in the main areas than here in the "newer" Jersey :) Also, there is a beach right down the street from the stay. I didn't get a chance to check it out, but it looked lovely. There are restaurants I at at in walking distance which were nice as well. My one critique about the stay itself is I has asked them if they had a portable fan to lend me (I like to keep it cold) and they said no. I got lucky enough to be there on some cooler nights but I could imagine deep in the summer a small fan goes a long way. Also. no car, no problem, but if you have one, parking was a PITA depending on what time you try to get there. There is a lot very close but go at the wrong time it is full. Completely. I had to drive around the neighborhood for about an hour trying to find somewhere else to park until I looped back and was lucky enough to see someone pull out of the lot. It seems you need a parking permit to park on the street (I could be wrong). That's not a poor reflection on the property. But I felt I needed to complain about it somewhere :) I could see myself staying there again (maybe without a car this time, and maybe smuggle in a small fan :))
