“Total disappointment”
The view and tranquility are unmatched. The eight‑room facility sits on a mountain top beside various telecom towers. The only person who helped us was a pleasant young woman. Booking three nights here was a mistake because the listing and reviews misrepresent the hotel. We wanted peace and comfort, a base to explore the area, not a small modern building on a mountaintop. We checked out the next morning. First, the hotel’s website is misleading—no accurate description of access. The un‑repaired cobblestone 3.3 km track from the highway is unsuitable for a small sedan; SUVs would have an easier time, but it’s not a route I’d want to travel daily. We would never have booked if we knew there was no restaurant with a menu. We were asked, after paying in full, which of the emailed menus we’d like each day. They were ordinary (we’re familiar with both Mexican and European cuisine) and were to be prepared by the only staff member we saw. Breakfast was fine, but being offered a synchronized sandwich for dinner isn’t exciting. The person we emailed wasn’t even on the property, and no one answered the phone when I called before arrival. We were assigned a room accessed by a spiral staircase that was too difficult for us, so we requested a different room and agreed to pay the price difference. Unfortunately, that room had no hot water, no hairdryer, and some blinds didn’t work. After a restless night we had breakfast and checked out. While many other guests seem to have enjoyed their stay, we suspect they only stayed one night and used more suitable vehicles.
