The location is stunning, the room view was absolutely breathtaking, the bar was cozy, and the staff were nice and friendly.

The food was good but pricey, the restaurant had a limited menu, and we only had it 4 days out of 7; the menu could use a refresh because it tried to be upmarket. The heating in the bedroom wasn’t working, there was no hot water, and perhaps the timer should be checked; condensation on the single‑glazed windows ruined the beautiful loch‑side view.

The view from the room was absolutely stunning. The hotel owner was very nice, and the burgers we had while there were great! Nothing else, it was a fab little night 😊

When we arrived, nothing was good – an aggressive receptionist refused to give us a room even though we had prepaid, because we complained that the kitchen was advertised to be open but it was closed, and the location is quite remote. We had to sleep in our vehicle along the loch and are still waiting for a refund. The aggressive receptionist did not let us have the room we had prepaid for because we complained that they had said the kitchen was open, which it was not. The hotel is run own, kitchen was closed and I don't know what the rooms are like as we were turned away. It is an embarrassment to Scottish tourism.
