“Modern and well-equipped, but noise, lighting, bedding, and pest issues affected our overall comfort.”
The townhouse felt modern and clean, with solid amenities, and checking in was a breeze. Its spot in Auckland made getting around a snap, so we liked the convenience. However, we woke up itchy each night, which made us suspect bed bugs; the mattresses probably need a professional clean and treatment. The blankets were too thin for the cold nights—thicker duvets would make a big difference. In the en‑suite, white curtains let in too much light from the Mobile service station across the road, so blackout curtains would help. Traffic and heavy trucks on the busy main road kept us up, waking us early; soundproof windows would solve that. We also wished there was a safe or lockbox for passports, cash, and jewellery, because we had to keep our valuables with us all the time.
